This embeds technical skills like typing and Office 365 apps like Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Sway, OneNote, etc. Reach out to them via email or in person to have them assist you. Also there are designated times and projects throughout where out InTech team will be in your classroom teaching or co-teaching as well as supporting your class in the computer labs. The goal here is that technology tools support the standard we are teaching to and provide options to increase student engagement.

Digital CitizenshipOur students need to learn how to be good citizens both online an in the real world. The instructional tech team can support you in your homeroom or advisory groups, work within social studies classrooms, or find other times throughout your day to teach digital citizenship lessons, provide resources and co-teach with you, or find other was to support classroom teachers with this pressing issue. Issues like cyber bullying, social media use, self-harm, and other important social interactions happen so we want to support our students with the knowledge to make good choices in their digital lives.

SAMR and the 4 C'sSAMR and the 4 C's are the frameworks we want to use to design our learning experiences. SAMR (Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, Redefinition) is a way to visualize how technology can be integrated to meet the standards and engagement in learning experiences. The 4 C's (Collaboration, Creativity, Communication, Critical Thinking) are what we want our students and teachers to focus on in teaching and learning in all content areas.

Computer Lab Support & Technical SkillsIn our K-5 education settings the InTech team will support teachers, assist with introducing technical skills and curriculum such as typing and digital citizenship skills along with aligned technology tasks to the content areas based on our curriculum all in the computer labs across the district. Teachers will still have computer lab built in the schedule so that our students can still learn technical skills along with embedding these in the curriculum. This includes typing and mouse skills for younger grades, Office 365, digital citizenship, research, navigating digital tools and the Internet, interactive engaging tools likek Kahoot, and other areas to help teaching and learning.
|
Collaboratively Design Tech TasksOur InTech team can help brainstorm the best tool(s) for the learning standard and content by using their knowledge of technology, the SAMR model, and the 4 C's with your expertise as teachers with the curriculum and pacing. Please reach out to them to help differentiate, provide options, and design a lesson or unit using Office 365 tools, iPad apps, or develop tasks or assessments using technology that align to the standards and demonstrate what students are learning.
